.a boys 13th birthday card.

My brother celebrated his 13th birthday a few days ago. This is the card I made for him.

The image is from CC Designs (aka: All That Scraps). It’s called Balloon Trevor and is now a digi image.

I used my Spellbinders to create the card.
Grand Scallop Circles
Grand Circles
Labels Fourteen
Standard Circles Small
Pinking Circles Small

I used a stamp from Unity/Bella Blvd called Sunny Happy Skies to stamp the clouds. Although I could have easily freehanded them, Murphy’s Law says I would have messed it all up. No doubt! :)

The Citrus Punch 2012 Mini Calendars can be found at Tiffany Doodles as part of the March release.

I colored Trevor with the following colors:

If you need some help to make a shaped card, check out the video I did for this card!

And don’t forget about the FlexMarker giveaway which ends on March 1st!

SSD Sketch Challenge

Today, over at Skipping Stones Design, the sketch is a little more challenging than usual!

I knew I wanted to use Funny Coffee Volume 1. But, with the sketch… I wasn’t sure how to incorporate the two. So I put my ‘thinking cap’ on and came up with this!

I used my Copics to call the fuzzy bunny slippers, and the bathrobe. A little glitter to make her look like less of a mess! I dripped some Tim Holtz distress ink across the top of the card so it would look as though I spilled some coffee!

Hope you’ve enjoyed my card! Happy Tuesday friends!

Deconstructed Odd Girl…

I’ve entered the Get Odd challenge hosted by Some Odd Girl, you can read more about it HERE. Here is my entry into the Get Odd challenge.

Since I wasn’t picked as a finalist, I can now enter my card into the Deconstructed Sketch challenge! I LOVED Jen’s sketch this week.

Here are some detail shots:

I used Balloon Kaylee for this card. After coloring the balloons with my copics, I covered them with Crystal Lacquer. The pattern paper is from October Afternoon. It’s two different lines actually.

The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink, it’s called Vintage Picnic Sentiments. I stamped it using Versa Fine in Onyx Black.

Happy Saturday my crafty friends!

Pixie Dust Studio Twilight blog hop!

Good morning! I hope you’re ready, and excited for this Pixie Dust Studio TWILIGHT blog hop! If you’ve come to my blog from Tanya’s, you’re in the right place, if not, please go back to Pixie Dust Studio’s challenge blog!

I’m really afraid to say that I have never read a Twilight book, (eeeep!) watched a Twilight movie, nor do I know anything about Twilight. I mean, of course, I know it’s vampire related… I think? The point is I have no idea who Renesemee is, BUT, I LOVE her hair, and her sweet little outfit. I thought she was adorable. So please do not confuse my using this image as picking sides for any one person over another! I love all the IMAGES equally!! :)

Now, I’m sure the skin color is a bit darker than that of a Vampire, but, is Renesemee a vampire?! Image is Renesemee, and can be found at Pixie Dust Studio.

Can anyone tell me what Renesemee is holding? (And who she is!!)

Hair: E70/E74/E77.
Dress: R21/R24/R29/R37.

Now, you know, NO blog hop is complete with out a prize! So… two random winners will win three images of your choice! While one lucky person will win their choice of a PIXIE PACK!

The grand prize will be awarded to the person who plays along with the Twilight challenge. The challenge will close Wednesday 11/23 at noon. The other two prizes will be awarded to those who have completed the blog hop, and leave a comment on the Pixie Dust Studio blog. NOT THE CHALLENGE BLOG. So the reason you’re here today… Julie Ranae.

Julie Ranae has had some pretty major dental surgeries in her lifetime due to medication she took as a child.  It was in her plans to have all of her teeth  replaced at some point over the next 5 years, a decision that was pretty easy to plan out.  But last month she chipped her two front teeth. The dentist told her there was no way to save them and his recommendation was to have them remove all of her teeth, and soon. But for that day, they needed to remove her front teeth so her gums could begin to heal.  Julie needs at least $4000 to get started and another $3000 to finish the process…a total of $7000.

That’s when the owner of Sweet Stamp Shop put together this benefit. It is the goal of all these generous friends and sponsors to help make this situation more do-able for Julie so that she can share a brand new smile with all of us soon!

If there is anything you can do to help with a financial donation, you will be eligible for prizes from our sponsor pool of over $2500. Any amount is greatly appreciated.

If you’d like to donate something to help Julie, just click on the “donate” button below.

If you’ve left me a comment, you can hop on over to Eva Dobilas now! :)

Just because I’m so happy the Tigers won
…and will be playing the Rangers
I’m going to give away two more Copic classes!
One to one of my email subscribers,
the other to a FaceBook “fan”.
I’ll announce the winners October 15th.
Remember, you don’t have to be local, to win!
(This giveaway is COMPLETELY separate from Operation Julie’s Smile)

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #90 – Fall Fun

I’m so excited to be the guest designer for The Pixie Cottage this month!

This week the challenge is Fall Fun, which is right up my ally!! But, if you can’t get into Fall right now, there is a sketch too!! I love Fall. One thing I really miss about Michigan is the color change… and the CIDER MILL!! Nothing is yummier than fresh, hot apple cider and donuts! Makes my mouth water to think about! I also miss the inexpensive pumpkins. Pumpkins in Texas… it seems as rare as snow! (And rain!)

Anyways, I used Sandra Hammer’s Fall Wagon Wheel.
I LOVE this stamp, for so many reasons!!

I also did a quick video tutorial for this- the intentions were to be quick- so there’s very little detail, and very little talking… just something basic for beginners. Quick easy done! :)

Hop on over to The Pixie Cottage to see what the design team did! While you’re there, you can enter the Fall Fun challenge! :)
Happy hump day friends!!
