.multimedia birthday card.

My sister’s birthday is April 5th, and I always make her a birthday card. My sisters and I all have matching star tattoos, so I always try to incorporate a star in one way or another. This year I took the whole star thing to a different level!

Project Life: April 25th Digital Layout

Last week I shared a two page, project life layout. This week I have one that’s plain and simple. I didn’t use any paper on this layout because I didn’t want to distract from the photos.

Journaling reads:

Just a few days after moving to Washington, I heard about a Tulip Festival, and I insisted we go! We managed to get there the last day it was open, April 25th. I couldn’t believe how many different colors there were! We took our pictures with each and every color! We learned more about Tulips than we ever thought possible! It was a great day!

Here’s some of my favorite photos that I didn’t use on this page. Lets face it, you can only have so many tulip photos, no matter how much one may love them!

And my two favorite guys…

Photos taken with a Canon Rebel XTi using a 28-135 mm f 3.5-5.6

Letraset’s NEW 2012 Limited Edition Autumn Collection

I can’t help it. I’m in love. Have you SEEN the new 2012 LIMITED EDITION Autumn colors? No? Well, let me show you!

Aren’t they just beautiful! Lots of great things to come from this collection. Not to mention, they coordinate beautifully with several colors in the ProMarker and FlexMarker line.

To color this image I used Wild CranberryMaroon* and Plum Preserve to color the petals. I used Apple Cider and Fresh Meadow* for the leaves and stems. And to add a little shadow, I used Tawny Owl and Grey Squirrel. (Colors marked with an asterisk are not part of the Limited Edition collection.)

This is one of my favorite images to color, Delicate Blossoms by Hero Arts. If you’re just starting out, or wanting to work on your blending, this is a great image to do that with. This image is also great for learning about shading and shadowing.

I’ve got a set of the new 2012 ProMarkers to giveaway on my FaceBook page: Can You Pixel This? All you have to do is “like” my page, and comment on the page telling me you’d like to be entered into the giveaway! Quick, easy, done.

I’ve spent some of my ‘down time’ over the last month, revamping my blog and learning CSS. I’ve changed the fonts, and a bunch of other things… what do you think?

Hope everyone is having a fantastic week, thanks for stopping by! xo

.a boys 13th birthday card.

My brother celebrated his 13th birthday a few days ago. This is the card I made for him.

The image is from CC Designs (aka: All That Scraps). It’s called Balloon Trevor and is now a digi image.

I used my Spellbinders to create the card.
Grand Scallop Circles
Grand Circles
Labels Fourteen
Standard Circles Small
Pinking Circles Small

I used a stamp from Unity/Bella Blvd called Sunny Happy Skies to stamp the clouds. Although I could have easily freehanded them, Murphy’s Law says I would have messed it all up. No doubt! :)

The Citrus Punch 2012 Mini Calendars can be found at Tiffany Doodles as part of the March release.

I colored Trevor with the following colors:

If you need some help to make a shaped card, check out the video I did for this card!

And don’t forget about the FlexMarker giveaway which ends on March 1st!

.Echo Park Country Drive Cards.

Good morning! I have three cards for you today. They were all fairly simple, and could easily be recreated. These are all hybrid cards. Meaning, I used Echo Park’s digital papers from Jessica Sprague and I printed them here at home. I use an Epson Artisan 800 which has been discontinued and replaced with the 810 (I believe). I love digital paper! If October Afternoon went digital, I would never buy paper again!

Each photo is clickable, so you can see the photo larger. Also, the details for the products I used to create each card can be found below the card itself.
